- GramGrams records your parents' and grandparents' life stories in their own voice. You sit together and talk; it listens, translates between their language and English as you go, and saves the audio along with a transcript in both languages.
- Which languages does GramGrams support?
- Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, English. Chinese is available in both Traditional and Simplified characters, whichever your family reads.
- How much does GramGrams cost?
- The first 3 conversations are free and no credit card is required. After that it is a single one-time payment for the full story — never a subscription and never a renewal.
- Do I need to install an app?
- No. GramGrams runs in the web browser your parent already has, on a phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing for them to download, sign up for, or update.
- What if I can't be with my parent in person?
- You can send them a link. They tap it and talk on their own, in their own time — no account and no app — and the recording appears in your project when they finish.
- Who can listen to the recordings?
- Only the family members you invite. Recordings are private by default, they are never sold, and the content of your stories is never used to train artificial-intelligence models. You can download the audio and transcripts at any time.
- How long does a conversation take?
- A useful one takes about twenty to forty minutes, and you can stop whenever they get tired. Many families do several short conversations over weeks rather than one long sitting.
- What do I get afterwards?
- The full audio recording in their own voice, a transcript in their language and in English, the moments you bookmarked while they talked, and a keepsake page you can share with the rest of the family.
